Committee Information

In order for our program of work to succeed, membership involvement is needed. The various Chamber committees are listed below. Please take a few minutes to find your areas of interest, then simply make note of the committees you wish to serve on and contact the Wickenburg Chamber.

WICKENBURG FILM COMMISSION

 The Wickenburg Film Commission is responsible for working with the film industry interested in our community, assisting in location scouting for inquiries, and preparing a local "Services Directory" for the film professionals. The commission also sends film brochures, direct mail inquiries, and potential prospects. We participate in state and national film symposiums.

Other Committees

TOURISM AUTHORITY

The Tourism Authority is responsible for helping the community understand the economic impact tourism has in our town. The Tourism Authority hosts receptions and familiarization tours for travel writers, travel planners and other tourism-related groups. Another responsibility of the Tourism Authority is promotion and marketing of our community as a destination, and liaison to the Arizona Office of Tourism for co-op advertising programs.

TRANSPORTATION & TRAILS COMMITTEE

The Transportation Committee assists local, state, and federal authorities in planning and providing for Wickenburg’s transportation needs. They also collaborate with the Town of Wickenburg regarding transportation and highway needs for the area.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The role of the education committee is to encourage strong community interest in the school system and promote collaboration with business and school district for additional educational needs. The education committee assists the Guidance Department in finding local, state, and national scholarships for our students and forms for application.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

This committee reviews actions proposed by governmental bodies, including Town of Wickenburg, Maricopa County, State Legislature or Congress, and recommends policy positions to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. In addition, this committee sets policy and determines positions on legislation for the Chamber. They stay updated on important issues such as regulation, taxation, town planning, etc.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Community Development exists to encourage the development of housing and economic opportunities by interacting with local, county and state agencies. By gathering, researching, and disseminating information, they assist in responsible development of every aspect of our community.

AMBASSADORS

The goal of our ambassadors is to encourage the development of housing and economic opportunities by interacting with local, county and state agencies. By gathering researching and disseminating information, they assist in the responsible development of our community.  

AD HOC ‘TALENT POOL’

 No specific on-going assignment, but available for temporary committee work for brief periods to accomplish special tasks. Visitor Center volunteers are especially needed on weekends and weekdays.
